Mt. Gox moves Bitcoin worth nearly $2.8 billion

Mt.Gox has moved over 44,500 BTC worth over $2.8 billion to an internal wallet. The price of BTC fell slightly after the transfer, retreating to around $62,835. On-chain data shows a wallet linked to Mt. Gox has just moved more than $2.8 billion worth of Bitcoin. The huge transfer comes as Bitcoin price looks to hold gains seen since last weekend’s attempted assassination of Donald Trump. Gox wallet moved over 44,500 BTC worth over $2.84 billion, with this going to an internal wallet. Michael Saylor dumps quarter billion worth of MSTR while hyping bitcoin

Michael Saylor has been dumping his personal exposure to bitcoin while at the same time endorsing taking on debt — even suggesting people mortgage their homes — to buy more. The MicroStrategy founder also taught classes to executives on how to leverage corporate assets and equities to buy the crypto. This month alone, Saylor has sold over $70 million worth of MicroStrategy stock, while in March he sold $144 million. Although staggeringly generous figures in their own right, Saylor has not opted to decline these multi-hundred-million dollar options contract vestings, viewing them as compensation for one of the best bets he’s made in his career — levering up MicroStrategy to buy 214,246-and-counting bitcoin. Following the Blackrock application, a Bitcoin spot ETF was never so close to being approved and it could be a game changer for the crypto industry, explains ETF analyst Eric Balchunas. $30 trillion worth of capital could suddenly unlock for the Bitcoin market if a Bitcoin spot ETF is approved by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, according to Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas.  That is the estimated amount of assets controlled by financial advisors in the U.S., who would be willing to get exposure to Bitcoin through a regulated exchange-traded fund.   "ETF is the format in which the boomers and the financial advisors prefer their investments delivered in”, Balchunas explained in an exclusive Cointelegraph interview.  Blackrock's application for a Bitcoin spot ETF last month sparked a new wave of optimism around the crypto market which led other major firms such as ARK Investment, Valkyrie, and Fidelity to file their own applications for a Bitcoin ETF.  The ...
