Here’s When the ‘Real Altseason’ Will Begin, According to Closely Followed Crypto Analyst

Image
A closely followed crypto analyst says that once a key Bitcoin (BTC) metric reverses, altcoins may print explosive rallies. Crypto trader Rekt Capital tells his 549,600 followers on the social media platform X that the Bitcoin dominance (BTC.D) metric may enter a downward phase after hitting a historic peak level, setting the stage for alts to outperform the flagship crypto asset. “BTC dominance: if history repeats, the real altseason everybody is waiting for would begin once Bitcoin dominance rejects from 71% (red).” Source: Rekt Capital/X BTC.D is a metric that calculates how much of the crypto market cap belongs to Bitcoin. A bearish BTC.D chart indicates that altcoins are printing gains faster than BTC. The analyst also says BTC.D may not hit exactly 71% before reversing, but somewhere within that area. “There really is no point in arguing about whether BTC.D will ultimately top out at 71% or at 69% or at 67%. The majority of the Bitcoin do...

Economist Alex Krüger Says Bitcoin Supercycle Is Intact, Expects Emergence of Altseason – But There’s a Catch

A closely followed economist thinks that the Bitcoin (BTC) and crypto bull market still has room to run to the upside. Alex Krüger tells his 205,000 followers on the social media platform X that crypto investors are disappointed because the current cycle appears to be different from the ones witnessed in the past in terms of time and upside magnitude. But the economist says that investors should zoom out because he thinks crypto is in the midst of a supercycle. “BTC is stuck in a range, which I think eventually resolves higher. The supercycle theory is intact. Even though it applies to Bitcoin and crypto as a whole (market cap ex BTC and stables is considerably higher), most old alts don’t benefit from it on a sustained basis. Should not expect an insane wave of liquidity driving all cr*p higher for an extended period of time. Be selective.” According to Krüger, a supercycle doesn’t mean that Bitcoin will keep going higher without witnes...

Crypto Analyst Jamie Coutts Eyes Solana Price Target Amid ‘Coiling Price Action’ for SOL

Image
Real Vision analyst Jamie Coutts says that Solana (SOL) is likely preparing for its next leg up to higher prices. In a post on the social media platform X, Coutts says SOL has been “coiling” within a large triangle pattern over the last six months, and that a break through resistance will trigger a volatile move to the upside. While the price of SOL has been consolidating – both against USD and Bitcoin (BTC) – Coutts says that most on-chain metrics have also been improving. “The coiling price action over the past six months has seen notable increases in active addresses, TVL (total value locked), and stablecoin market cap. However, chain utilization metrics have generally declined, as the surge in active addresses hasn’t translated into a corresponding rise in economic value (fee revenue)—possibly due to the notorious gaming of unique on-chain dynamics. Despite this, the chain remains a hotbed for dApp (decentralized application) development and...
